Freesia update

Test greenhouse
Last week the freesia’s for the test greenhouse were planted. In February or March 2018 we will have our annual Freesia open days and we would like to cordially invite you to view our new and current assortment. One of the varieties we have planted is the winner of the Goemans Trophy 2017 ‘Marseille’. In addition we have planted new promising breeding numbers as well. More information about the progress of this planting and exact data of the open days will follow.

New crop
Last month we have harvested and partly processed the new crop of freesia corms. Despite the rain-fall before harvesting, the quality is looking good. The corms can be delivered from January until July 2018.

New-Zeeland corms
From August until October most of the corms from our production location in New-Zeeland will be delivered. The first lots that are planted in August, are already 30 cm above the ground at the moment. The expectation is that the first lots will bloom in January. In September the cormlets for the new crop of New-Zeeland were planted. In the beginning of January they will be in full bloom and then we will share the results of the inspection. These corms can be delivered from August 2018.
